We can't thank Bird Uganda enough for such a fantastic trip. We have been on many birding trips to Africa and beyond and we can honestly say that our two guides, Herbert and Emmy, were up there with the best if not the very best. Not only were they extremely keen eyed but they knew exactly where to find all of the key species to a sometimes uncanny degree. Just as important, they were great company and fun to be with.

I think we are still both reeling from everything we saw. In all, we managed to see a bewildering 510 species of bird as well as whole host of mammals - mountain gorillas, chimps, elephants, lions, and not one but three leopards. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into the itinerary so much so that the whole trip ran like clockwork and there were no major hiccups. What's more, the accommodation and food were great throughout. On the strength of our experience, we would have no hesitation in recommending Bird Uganda to anyone with an interest in natural history, whether hardcore birder or general wildlife enthusiast.
