Payment terms and conditions, cancellation, and refunds valid for   2022 to 2023.

  1. RESERVATIONS
  2. For all reservations for 2022 and 2024, a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total trip price will reserve you a tour.
  3. The 20% reservation does not include special activities such as Gorilla and Chimpanzee tracking. A full amount of these activities is paid on top of the 20% deposit.
  • The balance of the fee is due 60 days prior to departure. All prices for the tours are quoted in US dollars and must be paid in US dollars.
  1. TRIP CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
  2. With written notice, more than 60 days prior to the first day of any of our tours, 75% of your deposit will be refunded.
  3. With 59 to 40 days notice, you will receive a 40% refund. No refund can be made with less than 30 days notice. No partial refund can be given once a tour begins. We strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance to protect your investment.
  1. MEDICAL INFORMATION

Participation in our East African tours requires that you are in generally good health. It is essential that persons with any medical problems and related dietary restrictions make them known to us well before departure. The tour leader ( guide) has the right to disqualify any participant at any time during the tour if he/she feels the participant is physically incapable and/or if a participant’s continued participation will jeopardize either that individual or the group. There will be no refund given under these circumstances.

  1. ITINERARY CHANGES AND TRIP DELAY

Although it is rare in practice, Bird Uganda Safaris reserves the right to change a program’s dates, itineraries, or accommodations if conditions warrant. If a trip must be delayed, or the itinerary changed due to bad weather, road conditions, flight cancellations, transportation delays, government intervention, sickness, pandemic or other contingency for which Bird Uganda Safaris or its agents cannot be held responsible or make provision to the best of our ability, the cost of delays or changes must be paid by the customer(s).

  1. ITINERARY CANCELLATION

Safety is our number one priority. Bird Uganda Safaris reserves the right to cancel an itinerary before departure for any reason whatsoever, including too few participants or logistical problems such as strikes, wars, acts of God, or any other circumstances which may make operation of the tour inadvisable.

All tour payments received refunded, and this refund will be the limit of our liability. Bird Uganda Safaris is not responsible for any expenses incurred by tour members in preparing for the tour, including non-refundable or penalty-carrying airline tickets, special clothing, visa or passport fees, or other tour related expenses.

  1. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

Bird Uganda Safaris, its Owners, Agents and Employees give notice that they act only as the agent for the owners, contractors, and suppliers providing means of transportation and/or all other related travel services and assume no responsibility whatsoever caused for injury, loss, or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from: acts of God, detention, annoyance, delays, expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, terrorism, government restrictions or regulations and discrepancies or changes in transit or hotel services over which it has no control. Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made where deemed advisable for the comfort and well-being of the passengers.

  1. FORCE MAJEURE

We shall not be held liable for the inability to implement our obligations if            such inability arises from civil strife, government restrictions, war, curfew, acts of God and other genuine unforeseeable circumstances. Any situation of force majeure shall be communicated in the quickest way possible from the occurrence of the force majeure for an amicable solution. However as a form of compensation to our clients, a credit note will be availed to them and       it shall be valid for 1 year.

  1. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

In case of any dispute arising during  trip, the aggrieved party shall notify our        main offices so as to reach an amicable solution in the most efficient and reliable way so as to ensure that the trip is smooth and enjoyable.

  1. GOVERNING LAW

We are governed by the Laws of Uganda and policies promulgated thereunder and our clients shall also be required to adhere to such laws while in the country.

On advancement of deposit to Bird Uganda Safaris, the depositor acknowledges that he/she has read and understood the above stated terms and conditions, and agrees to be bound by them.
